Being a good Mum, Dad, step-parent or guardian is one of the toughest, yet most important, jobs you can do.

Whether you’re just starting out, experiencing problems, parenting other people’s children, wanting to put some more fun into it or just needing some support from other parents – Family Works is here to help you.

We can tailor support for you and your whānau.

We can help you:

understand the behaviour and milestones of your children or teenagers
build stronger relationships with your children or teenagers
learn useful and practical parenting tools and strategies
communicate with your children or teenagers
develop positive ways of dealing with challenging behaviour.

Individual support

Family Works Central is able to provide professional support and advice for individual parents and/or couples. This may include one-to-one support and education, counselling or social work services.

Group parenting programmes

Family Works Central offers a variety of parent education groups that can support you to be a positive role model for the children in your life.
